Cat Rescue Story: Family Opens Heart & Home To Strays
Riape Notaey and her husband have opened their hearts and homes to cats in need. According to Riape, their 19-year-old cat, Tom, has been with her husband since Tom was a kitten. “Tom was first in his life before he met me,” she shared adding that her husband rescued Tom from a mother cat who was living in the bushes.
Their other two cats, Mike and Molly, were supposed to have been only “one new cat to the family.” “We rescued Mike and Molly from an older couple who had a lot of cats but couldn’t take care of them any longer,” she said. “We were supposed to only adopt Mike (the orange tabby). but we felt bad about leaving Molly so I convinced my husband to bring her home as well.”
