Dog Rescue Stories: Adorable, Adoptable Alfi!!

By Jarissa Aquinde, Positively Woof Rescue and Adoption Story Editor
Alfi’s foster parents picked him up eights days ago from the North Central Animal Shelter (#A1690629) for #4day4life (fostering shelter dogs over the July 4th holiday so they won’t be euthanized to make room for new dogs that come in). They are not returning him until he has found his forever home.
Handsome Alfi is about 2 years old, currently underweight at 73 lbs, and any dog parent’s dream! He is warming up to his new surroundings and has started showing his true colors. He was an outside dog, so his foster parents assume many things are completely new to him, like going to the beach or playing ball.
He gets along well with other dogs, and is the perfect dog for anyone looking for a new best friend or addition to the pack. He is non-reactive, and very mellow. As he starts to come out of his shell in his foster home, he’ll start to show his more active side soon.
Alfi is still a little timid, but dogs have run up to him without a reaction, fireworks have come and gone without a flinch and he’s getting better every day walking on leash. His foster parents are very involved with dog training so they will make sure he has his basics down when his new family comes around. He is house and crate trained, as well.
Please adopt this sweet angel! You can follow Alfi on Facebook and Instagram or email his foster parents at adopt.alfi.now@gmail.com.
