Dog Rescue Stories: Dexter the Pit and Charley the Pup

Dexter and Charley are Jennifer and Robert’s adopted fur babies, who are loved very much.  Dexter is a two year old pit bull mix adopted at six months old from the Sacramento SPCA. Charley is a 9 month old Cocker Spaniel Mix adopted from Yolo County SPCA at 10 weeks old.

Jennifer and Robert were told that Dexter was kept in a backyard on a leash, without shelter, before coming to Sac County SPCA. Charley was found walking the streets at 9 weeks old.

Charley is their happy, loving, hyper little girl. Her nickname is Charley Bear. Dexter is a loving, big teddy bear to Charley and to his pawrents. His nickname is Mr. Gupps. Dexter will let Charley jump all over him with her puppy energy and won’t move a muscle. Despite his size, he wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Dexter and Charley to run, play fetch and make friends at the dog park. Both pups also love their cat brother, Owen, and love to play with him, too!
