My name is Fast Eddie – but my good friends call me Ed! I am about 7 years old and I am a special needs dog. My back legs don’t work, my lower spine was injured, and since I don’t talk, I can’t tell people what really happened to me. All I know is that I ended up in a shelter in Los Angeles. I was incredibly scared and all alone.
The volunteers really loved me so they reached out to an amazing rescue group, A Purposeful Rescue, and in September 2015, I was saved ! I was so thankful, because I never thought that day would come. I used to see these beautiful puppies being adopted and I never thought anybody would want me. But A Purposeful Rescue saw me for who I really am…a pup who is full of love and life. After they saved me, they bought me first wheelchair…and I zoomed around so fast in it that they named me “Fast Eddie”! I LOVE to run!!
I was in two great foster homes before being adopted by my furever family. I am loved and safe in my forever home, and could not be happier. I love running and hiking with my fur-friends and I love chasing birds and barking at squirrels in my back yard. I have two fur-siblings and a human sister, all of whom I adore.
My mom says I can be feisty at times, and I definitely am, so I am working hard and becoming a very good boy! I hope my story inspires people to give special needs and senior dogs a chance. Every life is worth saving!!!
