It was almost two years ago when my mom and dad adopted me from the Longmont Humane Society. I was only two years old at the time, and it was the second time I had been at the shelter. My first family didn’t feel that they had enough time for me, and my second family had a dog that just didn’t like me. So, back to the shelter I went.
Luckily for me, mom is a volunteer at the shelter and would walk the adoptable dogs every weekend. She says that when she met me, it was love at first sight! I was there for a few more weeks until mom and dad decided to take me on a slumber party. I guess I was a good fit, because they adopted me the next day! I have been with them now for almost two years and I know this is my forever home. I even get to help mom by being her service pet for her anxiety and depression. It makes me happy knowing I am loved and that I am helping!
