Miller was nearing “D-Day” on Sept 5th, 2017 at Moreno Valley Shelter, when Kathryn, a temp foster with It’s The Pits Rescue Group, had some sort of a Jedi Mind Lock with his photo on Facebook. It said – “take me, no one else is.” With a quick text to her husband, Dave, “to OK” that which she knew was already happening, Miller went from “D Day at Moreno Valley Shelter” to “Disneyland for Dogs,” as they call their home.

Miller was “probable HBAC,” which his foster mom later learned was “Hit By a Car.” This is what caused him to “not know” that he had a left front paw. Beth, the founder of Its the Pits, was wonderful and quickly got Miller an appointment with a specialty doctor, who confirmed that the injury was Brachial Plexus Injury.

Fast forward three months: after one month of water therapy in his foster family’s pool and hot tub, Miller has become a “mini-athlete,” who can walk three miles a day!

Miller is an extremely lovable dog and the total package, yet he has had only one looksee since coming into adoption, which Kathryn finds so odd. He is a total love and gets along great with his dog foster siblings, Gilligan and Bella. Miller LOVES sleeping on his foster dad’s lap, and loves napping on the “baby” couch (an Ikea couch just for the dogs)!

You can learn more about Miller’s silly personality on Instagram @Miller_ItsThePits. His bio/link doesn’t do him justice, as any bio link would be challenged to do, anyway, but take a look! Meet Miller!
