Jumbo is a two year old Beagle/Lab/Pit Bull mix. Although he is an extremely happy and loved boy now, sadly, that is not how his life started. Jumbo and his newborn siblings were taken from their mother as soon as they were born and abandoned at animal services.
Jumbo was adopted and given back four times, due to barking and jumping. The people who adopted him before his forever family rescued him a day before he was going to be euthanized. They were Jumbo’s forever family’s neighbors, and had him for two months before realizing that they could not care for a dog.
Having dogsat and walked Jumbo a few times, April, Jumbo’s now forever mom, fell in love with him and could not let them return him to animal services. She and her husband adopted him and he’s been a part of their family ever since…and he’s never going anywhere else! Because he was returned to the shelter many times, Jumbo can suffer from extreme separation anxiety, but he and his family are working with a behaviorist to help him overcome this issue.Jumbo has been in his forever home for six months months and he is spoiled beyond belief! He absolutely loves car rides, rope toys, and dachshunds! He gets to excited when he sees a dachshund! Jumbo’s forever parents are so glad he came into their life and that he’s finally able to get the love and attention he deserves. He’s thrived in a loving home and has brought them so much joy.
