Beautiful Karma was kept on a heavy chain since she was born and she is permanently disabled.
When Karma was first rescued by Gosford Dog Paws at around a year old, she was so emaciated and weak that she couldn’t lift her own head. The only way Steph, Karma’s forever mom, can really describe Karma, is that her condition is extremely similar to that of a child with cerebral palsy. Some vets think that it could be cerebellar hypoplasia or it could be the injury to her spine that was detected by x-rays.
Despite a very long list of issues due to abuse (spinal injury, fecal and urinary incontinence, nightmares similar to seizures, very few teeth left and permanent damage to kidney and liver) the spirit and personality of this little girl is amazing! Every single person who has ever met her falls in love with her. She is so forgiving, LOVES people and always wants to make new friends! All of this is truly unbelievable, considering what she’s been through.Karma has been in her forever home for two years, and she has gained so much strength in her back legs that she can now make her way up stairs, stand to look out the car window and run after birds in the park! She also LOVES to play in the ocean! She is her mum’s best mate, soul mate, and love of her life.Karma has given SO much back to her forever parents – they can’t believe how lucky they are to have found such a special, amazing furbaby!
