Dog Rescue Stories: Lolita Instantly Stole Her Forever Mom’s Heart!

     Lolita’s (aka Lolo) story is sadly, a common one for pit bulls.  She was found as a pregnant stray, likely used for breeding (as her stomach would indicate) and was then abandoned. Her ears are cropped (probably to make her look tough, though she could have been used as a fight dog). But none of her past, whatever it might be, has had an impact on what a sweetheart she is. She is a special girl and is the perfect example of what a true pit bull is: snuggly, full of kisses and a dog that just wants to be loved!

     Lolo came into Christie’s life during her volunteer shift at the Humane Society in Boulder, CO. She sat quietly in her kennel, just watching people look in at her. She never barked or walked up to the door to greet them. She just sat there, looking confused, wondering why she was there.  She was tilting her head in that cute pittie way that steals your heart… and that’s exactly what she did to Christie! Christie knew instantly from the look in Lolo’s soulful eyes that she was waiting for her to walk up to her kennel, and she thanks Christie for it every day!
