Malibu was an owner surrender on Jan 1, 2015 to San Bernardino Animal Shelter, a high kill shelter. The volunteers at the shelter said that she was pregnant and if she wasn’t rescued by January 8th, she would be at risk to be euthanized. On Jan 10th, Malibu got her freedom day! The woman who originally said that she would foster Malibu backed out at the last minute after finding out she was not pregnant, so Malibu went into boarding. At least she was out of the shelter!
Christine was a rescue volunteer walking dogs in boarding, so when she found out that Malibu was being boarded near her home, she volunteered with the rescue to walk her weekly. A few months went by and the rescue that originally helped save Malibu abandoned her at the boarding facility, along with 9 other dogs at different boarding facilities. The rescue has since disappeared.
