Ryan owns a gym in Chandler, Arizona, and has been wanting to bring an active pet not only into his home and family, but also into the gym. Of course, he wanted wanted his new furbaby to be a rescue! Ryan spent weeks looking at rescues on Instagram and Facebook for just the right dog (he knew he wanted a puppy), and one day, he noticed a photo of ‘Rocco’ and his two sisters on the Woofs, Wiggles, n’ Wags Rescue Facebook page. He immediately wrote in and asked for more info. Rocca was part Boxer and part Queensland Heeler, and Ryan just knew he was the right one.
When Rocco was abandoned at the shelter, he was malnourished and full of ticks. After bringing him home from his foster family, it was apparent to Ryan and the vet that he had a severe case of separation anxiety and needed far more food than he was being given. It seemed that Rocco had been mistreated during his early puppyhood and needed to be given a LOT of love and instruction.
Ryan, his girlfriend, and Ruby (Rocco’s Beagle sister), have worked on providing Rocco with a loving, stable, and supportive environment to grow and learn in. Rocco is truly loved in his forever home.Follow Handsome Rocco on Instagram! @rocco_the_rescue_dog
