Hello! My name is Rosa Rigatoni Brennan and I’m an Australian Cattle dog mix who traveled all the way from North Carolina to the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhess, NJ. The AWA was having an adoption event in October 2014 at a local Petsmart, and that was the first time I laid eyes on my Mom and Dad (Dana and Pete). My Uncle Frankie was with them, too, and he was the one that picked me! I was so skinny, frail and very standoffish. My Mom took me for a walk around the store and she fell in love! When my Mom was signing the adoption papers, she noticed I was returned once before because I broke out of my crate.I never did in my forever home, I loved my crate (I just transitioned to a big girl bed and am roaming the house free while my parents are at work!) I came home as Lola but my Pop Pop renamed me to Rosa. My full name is Rosa Rigatoni, but my closest friends and family sometimes just call me Ro! I love my parents so much! I’m ALWAYS with my Mom, but know if I want a little rough play, my Dad is always there!
My Mom thinks I’m mixed with Rat Terrier because of my love for balls. I love to chase balls, play frisbee, run in the yard, get my belly rubbed, and give hugs and kisses! My Mom and Dad always say how silly I am. I’m so glad to be home even though it took my a few months to adjust..I didn’t know where I was! But, I got into the groove and now my Mom and Dad couldn’t imagine their home without me. They love me so very much, and they even take me to Mom Mom and Pop Pop’s house to play with their miniature schnauzer Stella. I must say I’ve got the best life now!!!
