Dog Rescue Stories: Tenley and Her Family Were Abandoned

By Jarissa Aquinde, Positively Woof Rescue and Adoption Story Editor

tenley-featuredTenley is a loving, playful, almost two year old Staffordshire Terrier puppy.  Tenley’s forever family first met her at K9 Rescue and Rehab (K9RR) in Auburn, Washington, when she was three months old. They fell in love with the little runt at first sight, especially after she snuggled up to them with her trademark crooked tail. Upon meeting new people, she can’t help but wiggle her butt and shower you with kisses. She loves going on hikes with her Dad throughout the Pacific Northwest, but is also a total couch potato at home.tenley-1Tenley got off to a bit of a rough start before finding her forever home. She was abandoned with her mother and siblings in Palm Springs, California, and several of her brothers and sisters passed away due to malnourishment. All of Tenley’s surviving siblings were adopted before her; she was even returned once after a failed adoption before she found her forever home. Tenley is an extremely affectionate and loyal companion who has quickly become an invaluable member of her little family. If you choose to invite a dog to become a part of your family, please consider rescuing. It can make or break a small innocent life, just as it did for Tenley.tenley-2
