Murray, our Goldendoodle turned one year old on March 13. He’s a big boy. He is a rambunctious boy. His mix of breeds is also prone to hip and joint issues as they age so we were thrilled to begin him on a regiment of Therabis “Up and Moving.” We lost Spenser, our other large breed dog in January of 2016 and he was a husky-lab mix who had aching joints and had a hard time getting up and down the stairs and even getting up from the floor. Knowing what we know now, we wanted to be proactive and help assure that Murray doesn’t have to suffer those aches and pains as he ages.
(This is just a brief snippet of the amount of time Murray spends running around the yard chasing his tennis balls)
We’ve never considered using a cannabinoidal product before simply because we were not educated enough about its benefits. Doing research we discovered that Therabis’s Up and Moving supplement will help Murray as he ages and as arthritis and pain from hip dysplasia. The product is made of whole-plant cannabinoids, hemp powder, green lipped mussel, Vitamin C, Chromium, and Vitamin E.
Murray is relentless with fetch in the house and outside and he absolutely loves to run, jump and play. He is close to seventy pounds of excitable puppy. We love his frenetic activity but also know he could be damaging his joints and hips — we certainly don’t want to rein in his enthusiasm for life (and fetch!) so we know we have to do all we can to keep him safe from harm so he will remain active well into his golden years!
Murray knows that when we #GrabtheLeash he is in for a romp in the yard or a stroll in the woods.
How’s it taste?
Murray loves the taste and anxiously awaits his dinner bowl with the Therabis sprinkled on top. He happily chomps down his dinner, looking up at us with food in his beard — he will never win an award for being a neat-eater, that is for sure.
Helicopter pet parent
Before I allow my pets to try new products, food or even toys I do my research to assure everything they ingest or play with is safe. What I liked about Therabis for Murray was that it was developed and refined for more than 10 years by lifelong veterinarian Dr. Stephen M. Katz, who’s driven by his passion to improve animals’ quality of life — longevity matters!
I read through the Therabis FAQs and laughed out loud at the question, “will my pet get high.” I knew enough about cannaboids to know that wasn’t the case, but also knew that when I told my kids that Murray was going to be taking a hemp-based product that was the first question they asked!
