Dog fighting is, and remains, a barbaric act. National Dogfighting Awareness Day is today, April 8.
This year, as they’ve done in the past the ASPCA is asking “animal lovers to take a stand against the barbaric practice by taking legislative action in support of the HEART Act.”

The ASPCA is sponsoring legislation to “help victims of dogfighting by decreasing their length of stay in temporary shelters and allowing them to be rehabilitated and re-homed faster.”
