“Never let a stumble in the road be the end of the journey” -Author unknown.
This quote fits Remmy the “Tripawd” to a T. When Brianna first saw Remmy’s photo on Facebook, she was not actively looking to adopt. Brianna and her fiancee had just graduated from college and moved into their first apartment together. They decided it was best to wait a few months before adding to their family. Despite all this, there was just something about Remmy’s soulful eyes, big smile, grungy fur, and missing leg that melted Brianna’s heart! When they met Remmy at the Arizona Humane Society, they learned that he had been found as an injured stray near a school. His leg was not salvageable and he tested positive for tick fever. Though no one knows exactly how Remmy was injured, it’s more than likely that he was hit by a car, due to his type of leg fracture and some black smudges on his white coat. However, despite his “stumble in the road,” Remmy’s journey with Brianna and her fiancee has been full of adventure and inspiration. Remmy goes hiking, camping, and even paddle boarding! He constantly amazes his pawrents with everything he can do and they can’t imagine life without him!
