Dog Rescue Stories: Trinity and Her Forever Mom Instantly Fell in Love!

My name is Trinity, but my mom and my little sister sometimes calls me Pooh, like Winnie the Pooh! Not sure how I got that nickname…probably because I’m so soft and snuggly, just like him!

I live in St. Louis, MO and my mom found me on the Stray Rescue of St. Louis website (when I was 9 or 10 months old). She was looking for a furbaby and had met a couple pups that just didn’t quite work out. When she saw my pictures, she instantly fell in love, but a picture doesn’t tell her about a pup’s personality and how they behave.image7

When my foster dad took me to Petsmart to meet her for the first time, it was like we were meant to be! We had an instant connection and my mom and I knew it was love at first sight! So, when she passed all of her checks, she filled out the paperwork to officially adopt me and had Nana pick up my little sister from school that day so she could show up and surprise her with a brand new pup! I loved her the moment I met her as well.image5

I just love every person I meet and want to snuggle and lick behind their ears! I’m missing a toe on one of my back paws. My foster dad and the rescue didn’t know what happened to me, but I have a big scar where my toe is missing and I’m very sensitive about people touching my feet, so I think it was something traumatic. The only person that I let touch my feet is mom, but only when she’s scrubbing the stinkies off in the bath…NEVER with the clippers!image3

Happy International Day of Peace to all of my pawsome pals near and far! ☮️ I was tagged by my adorable buddy @xx.diabloo from all the way in The Netherlands to share #tenfactsaboutme ???? I ???? getting to know all of my furiends! ________________________________ 1) City/Country: St. Louis, Missouri, USA . 2) Favorite Food: Frosty Paw! . 3) Fur Siblings: None at the moment. I used to have a sister named Trina but maybe one day in the future! For now, I get all the love! . 4) Favorite Activity: Shoving my nose behind mom’s ears and licking her to death! . 5) Bath: I used to have to be dragged in when mom first adopted me, but now I jump right in! I’m so smart that I know mom gives me a bath on the days she cleans the house, and the last thing she always does is vacuum, so when she puts the vacuum away, I start getting all wiggly and look like I did something wrong because I know it’s almost bath time! Haha! . 6) Fear: Separation. I get major anxiety from that! . 7) Outdoor or Indoor: I’m mostly indoor. I love outdoor and walks but sometimes I can play a little rough with smaller dogs and don’t realize my boundaries. ???? But I’m learning how to play like a good puppy! . 8) Pack Leader: Mom for sure! . 9) Worst Thing I Chewed On: The bottom half of the door in the basement ???? I escaped from my crate one time due to my separation anxiety and was just making sure mom was on the other side of the door! ???? I didn’t make it all the way through the door, but mom wasn’t happy with me when she got home! . 10) Random Fact About Me: Sometimes my feets get stinky and mom calls them my Frito paws because it smells like a corn chip ???? Haha!
